In May 2026, Thailand's Digital Economy and Society Ministry updated its priority-supported industry list, classifying night tourism light shows, naked-eye 3D immersive theaters, and XR live performances as core supported categories in digital creativity. Accompanying high-tech equipment such as irregular LED displays, intelligent special effects lighting, multi-channel surround sound systems, and integrated central control devices were included in the high-tech equipment directory. Foreign brand enterprises can apply to establish local after-sales service centers and technical display halls, enjoying subsidies for venue rent and facilitation for introducing technical talents. As a result, the number of signed immersive performance projects in Thai scenic areas surged by 72% year-on-year in 2026.
